Prestigious Award Given at Blacks In Government 33rd National Training Conference

Graduate School USA's President and CEO, Dr. Jerry Ice, was awarded with the prestigious Blacks In Government (BIG) Presidential Award at a special ceremony on Thursday, August 25.  The award was given to Dr. Ice in recognition of the long-standing, collaborative relationship Graduate School USA has had with the Blacks In Government organization.

"It is a great pleasure to award Dr. Jerry Ice the Blacks In Government Presidential Award during our 33rd National Training Conference," said J. David Reeves, National President, Blacks In Government.  "We want to recognize Dr. Ice for nurturing our long-standing relationship and assisting us in building dynamic, progressive leaders throughout our government."

Graduate School USA has been a supporter of Blacks In Government since its inception in 1975.  Their partnership includes facilitating BIG's Darlene H. Young Leadership Academy, as well as providing career development training at BIG's National Training Conference for the past ten years.

The Blacks In Government 33rd National Training Conference was held in Boston, Massachusetts from August 22-25, 2011.  This year's theme was "Exploring and Navigating Your Leadership Journey through BIG."

Previous winners of the BIG Presidential Award include Kay Cole James, a former Director of the Office of Personnel Management and the Department of the Interior.
