The NC A&T State University Alumni Association - Washington,DC Chapter in the spirit of building unity will host a networking event along with members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) at Lounge 201 in Washington, DC on May 17.

In the spirit of collaboration the NC A&T Alumni Association - Washington,DC Chapter is hosting a "MEAC Mix and Mingle" will take place on May 17, 2012 at 5pm at Lounge 201 in Washington, DC. This is the first of a series of events to connect area alumni to their counterparts from other institutions within the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) leading up to the 2013 MEAC Basketball Tournament.

Comedian Eddie Griffin at Riot Act with Opening Act Antoine Blackman

Riot Act Comedy Theater is the place to be May 3-6 with the return of comic and acting superstar Mr. Eddie Griffin. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Eddie was voted class clown three years in a row in high school. His first love was always dance and by the young age of 16, he opened his own dance studio and was choreographing the Kansas City Chiefs half-time shows.

1968 Olympic Gold Medalist Tommie Smith will host  the 4th Annual Tommie Smith Youth Track Meet on Saturday May 5th.  The event will be held at Spingarn Senior High School, 2500 Benning Road, NE from 9am-5pm. More than 500 track and field athletes are scheduled to attend. On Friday May 4th Dr. Tommie Smith will be available for in- studio and radio interviews.
