Business
Professionals Networking Group Connects Like-Mind Professionals

There’s
a saying often used that goes, “It’s not what you
know, it’s WHO you know,” and that statement couldn’t
ring any truer; especially living in a day and age where technology
rules the world around us. Networking has become a household word
largely due to the internet’s new social networking craze.
Mi’guel Adams is no exception to that rule and has even
created his own outlet for like-minded, business driven individuals
(in the DC metropolitan area) looking to link up and ultimately
make it to the top.
The Business
Professional Networking Group (BPNG) was created in 2006 when
Adams and a high school friend collectively came up with an idea
of having a group of eager entrepreneur’s come together
and give advice on running a successfully thriving business. Besides
giving advice, the entrepreneurs would also offer each other encouragement
and strength, something similar to a buddy system.
According
to the BPNG website:
“The
Business Professionals Networking Group is comprised of business
professionals in various fields that meet quarterly to network,
strengthen, encourage, and inform its members. The members have
a common goal of being successful in their respective field of
expertise and being educated on innovative and creative business
trends. The organization is dynamic, entrepreneurial and committed
to assisting its members in reaching their business objectives
through interaction and connection. Our organization welcomes
entrepreneurs and business leaders who are driven by integrity,
loyalty, and a sense of community.”
Not
only is this a great idea, but it forces people to step from behind
the computer and meet face to face. While networking on the Internet
is a beautiful thing, there is nothing better than that hands-on
contact. The BPNG allows you to get to know entrepreneurs who
are already at the level you are trying to achieve or entrepreneurs
who, like you, are also attempting to make it to the top.
While the
BPNG’s vision according to Adams is to allow the businessmen/women
to strengthen their fields of expertise and learn from each other,
on the website Adams goes into a bit more detail with the group’s
Mission Statement.
“Our
mission is to build a business professional networking group that
can reach across the metropolitan area for the purpose of inspiring,
motivating, encouraging, strengthening, and informing our members.
Our goal is to connect business people with business people in
various fields and network within our group. We desire to assist
business people in accomplishing their objectives while we build
a strong networking group that will be beneficial to the community
at large”.
Today, the
group is currently still on a local level, but not for long! Adams
plans are to one day, take the BPNG to a more national level “having
both big and small celebrities alike, as well as very successful
business owners, come together to give speeches to future and
promising entrepreneurs.”
Adams is
truly excited about what he does and in return I’m sure
that he has created a new way to get business minded individuals
excited as well. We had a chance to speak to him and he seemed
more than eager about his group and the heights that it one day
will reach.
“The
group, people, and speakers are fantastic. The group is great
for the networking businessmen/women. The group is filled with
many business people with expertise in all fields of work. Guest
will leave his seminars with encouragement and new ideas.”The
BPNG’s next event has not been officially set but will most
likely occur on the 2nd Saturday of September 2009, the location
is not yet known but there will be a few guest speakers in appearance.
If interested
in joining this networking movement, the best way is to contact
Adam’s through the company’s website. Adams will also
be holding a membership drive in coming weeks.
